Sauber F1 Team set to change team name

BMW Sauber F1 Team has decided to change their name, with leaving the brand name tag BMW from name, but they havenot yet officially confirming its new team name for the 2011 season.
The German carmaker, BMW, pulled out of formula one at the end of 2009 season, but despite leaving formula one the Hinwil based team was still known as ‘BMW Sauber F1 Team’.
The former team and owner Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) has agreed to let them keep the name in its title for 2010 in order to not jeopardise the team’s commercial income due to finishing the 2009 constructors’ championship in sixth place. But a name change for 2011 will not jeopardise Sauber’s income, due to its fellow teams and the governing FIA agreeing in June to permit the tweak ahead of the next world championship season.
The latest press releases from Sauber are issued name as Sauber Motorsport AG, but it will not be official formula one team name, and is believed that in 2011 the official team title will be ‘Sauber F1 Team’.
The report said that the final name for team is not yet decided because it might include a new title sponsor that has not been announced.
